This range of elegant reproduction furniture equally enhances a traditional or contemporary setting. Featuring English Burr oak on the tops (and backs of dressers and bookcases), it is a range of beautifully made furniture for today's style conscious homemaker.

Offering a choice of eleven distressed paint finishes, with either antiqued brass or wood handles, you can create the look to suit your home.

During the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, techniques were developed for applying decorative paint finishes to provincial furniture - much of which was made from pine. These beautiful decorative finishes have been recreated with the same natural materials and colours as were used then; French chalks and clays, bound with natural earth and vegetables, and finished with beeswax and turpentine. These finishes are completely authentic and it is important to treat your furniture as carefully as you would an antique. In contrast to modern synthetic lacquers and varnishes, applying this natural finish over wood will allow it to breathe, grow and develop a natural patina, if treated according to our 'Care Guidelines' (supplied at no extra cost with each piece of furniture).
